Summer asphalt and concrete can exceed 140°F. Add a three-ton load on a powered electric pallet jack, and standard wheels face high temperature, extreme compression, and continuous rolling friction at the same time.
The Problem: Thermal Creep
Standard cast MC nylon is strong, but elevated surface temperature and operational friction can cause thermal creep. This creates two critical failure modes.
Bearing-Bore Expansion While Running
Hot nylon softens. Continuous drive force can stretch the bearing bore until the bearing fit loosens or the bearing comes out, stopping the equipment.
Flat Spots While Parked
A fully loaded jack parked on hot concrete can permanently flatten softened tread. When travel resumes, the wheel bounces, increasing vibration and drive-motor stress.
The Saidelong Solution: Reinforced MC Nylon
Our reinforced MC nylon formulation is developed for increased compressive strength and a higher heat-deflection temperature. It stays dimensionally stable where standard plastics begin to soften.
Under demanding heat and load, the material is designed to retain the bearing fit, resist bore expansion, and reduce permanent flat spotting during loaded parking.
