Precision Instruments & Fragile Goods: Vibration-Control Wheels

Protect server racks, medical devices, optical instruments, and fragile goods with industrial rubber wheels selected for damping and manageable rolling resistance.

Moving server racks, medical devices, optical equipment, or fragile goods requires strict vibration control. Floor joints, thresholds, and ordinary warehouse debris create shocks that can disrupt or damage valuable payloads.

Why Rigid Wheels Transfer Shock

Standard polyurethane and nylon wheels can be too hard for vibration-sensitive cargo. When a rigid wheel crosses a crack, the impact travels through the cart frame into the equipment, causing internal misalignment, calibration loss, or broken components.

Industrial Rubber as a Damper

Industrial rubber wheels compress over debris and expansion joints, absorbing impact before it reaches the frame. This damping action helps isolate the payload and reduce vibration damage.

The Trade-Off: Rolling Resistance

Softer wheels absorb more shock but usually require more effort to push. Where carts are moved manually, increasing the wheel diameter can improve leverage and reduce starting and rolling resistance while retaining the rubber tread’s damping benefit.
